Anxiety and fear are one of our natural defences to protect us from real danger. Our fears are created from the threat of danger or a response to what we have learnt from our previous experiences but this feeling of fear passes quickly.
What's the reason why we get anxiety?
Our anxiety is usually a response to a possible threat, however, when one continues to worry and give this threat power by thinking that something is possibly going to happen when the odds of something possibly hapening are usually low. Nevertheless, we make ourselves anxious about inappropriate and unwarranted things.
However, whatever is the cause of your anxiety, restricting you to live a normal life needs to be treated as it could lead to depression.
How Do Your Body Deal With Anxiety?
The human body was designed to react in situation of danger the flight response of the human body is structured with its defence mechanism dating back to our creation. The fight-or-flight response is defence mechanism which causes the human heart to pump blood quicker as a reaction of fear hightening your energy to attack or run to get away from danger.
Danger can come from many different sources such as:
-
Stress
-
Home life
-
work
-
Family
-
Social setting
But running away or having physical attacks are inappropriate and socially unaccaptable, therefore, the stress hormones and adrenaline that one receive when going through the flight response if this energy is not burn out will remain in the body.
if you get burdened with this energy, you will continue to physically produce stress hormones and physiological changes slowing you down and causing your body to have negative effects on your mental & phisical health equally your reproductive system is also placed on hold as rearing off spring is perceived as a danger as the outcome for you or your child is not promised.
